As some of you might remember, a few weeks after you subscribe to the Thrive Tip of the Week, I send out a survey. The survey asks some basic questions like where are you from, do you own a business, are you planning to open a business, and what’s your biggest marketing challenge.
Most importantly, I want to thank all the people who have taken the time to respond to that survey. Your feedback helps me provide information in my newsletters that matters to you.
I’d also like to share a few of the results from the survey.
Based on the survey results, about 40% of you currently own your own business. And of the 60% of you currently working for someone else, most are looking to open a business this year.
The type of businesses you run cover a wide spectrum of online and offline business, but the largest proportion are web-based business.
When I asked what your biggest marketing challenge was, I get all kinds of answers. Most of the individual questions could be boiled down to one of three basic questions.
- Where do I find customers?
- How do I communicate with the market?
- How do I get customers to spend more?
Here’s a list of some previous articles that talk about each of these three issues. Take a few minutes to revisit some of these articles. The things I talk about in them are some of the most important issues you need to understand to be an effective marketer. While you’re there, leave a comment, or a question.
